Graphics Designer

WaterAid Bangladesh is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Graphics Designer to join our Communications team. The role requires a creative professional adept at creating visually appealing and impactful designs that effectively communicate our mission and advocacy initiatives. The Graphics Designer will play a critical role in strengthening our brand identity by producing a wide range of design assets for digital and print media, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and branding guidelines.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of WaterAid’s visual identity to ensure consistency across all platforms and materials. • Develop branded templates, style guides, and other resources to reinforce a cohesive brand image. • Provide creative solutions for branding-related challenges and initiatives. • Design engaging graphics for social media platforms, website content, and digital campaigns. • Create high-quality layouts, illustrations, infographics, and other visual assets for publications, presentations, and reports. • Develop branded templates and materials for internal and external communications. • Collaborate with the Communications team to design visuals for email newsletters, banners, and multimedia content. • Assist in designing assets for video content, including graphics and animation elements. • Work closely with the Communications team to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions. • Liaise with programme teams to conceptualise and design visuals that effectively communicate key messages. • Support cross-departmental projects by providing design expertise. • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high-quality standards. • Maintain organised files and documentation for all design projects for easy retrieval and updates.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, visual Arts, multimedia, or a related field from any reputed university in Bangladesh. Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in graphic design with a strong focus on branding, preferably in a communications or marketing role preferably in the development sector. Skills and Competencies: • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant software. • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects with an emphasis on branding and visual identity. • Basic knowledge of video editing tools and motion graphics is a plus. • Familiarity with web design principles and tools is desirable. • Strong creative vision and ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs. • Possesses personal integrity, transparency, fairness, proactive stance, and respect for gender, diversity, safeguarding, and organisational cultural aspects. • Self-driven and able to work independently/with minimal supervision. • Capable of planning, prioritising, and organising assignments amidst multiple competing tasks and urgent deadlines. • Able to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines. • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective in providing support, and adept at collaborating and coordinating across diverse teams.
