Hygiene Behavior Change Communication Expert

Provide support to WaterAid Bangladesh and Partner Organizations (PO) for effective and efficient programme implementation especially on Hygiene Behavior Change Communication (HBCC) and its related capacity building and support the development of behavior change communication messages and materials.
Capacity development support - Facilitate capacity building of WAB and PNGOs staff especially on HBCC - Facilitate process to assess training needs, design curriculum, support the development of relevant resource materials to organize and facilitate training courses, and support in conducting digital hygiene behavior change campaigns or sessions for effective programme implementation - Provide support to POs staff to develop curriculum for frontline staff on HBCC as well as for community level and facilitate jointly - Contribute to developing all HBCC related training materials, modules etc. - Identify partner staff’s social development related capacity building needs. Programme Implementation: - Provide support and contribute to review, update and develop POs implementation strategies especially on HBCC and capacity building activities - Contribute to develop/update HBCC related implementation strategies, guidelines, policies etc - Assist partner organization in framing their project implementation strategies as well as appropriate planning, budgeting etc. - Document achievements on HBCC. Monitoring and follow up - Monitor POs performance against their planning towards progress on regularly basis with a focus on HBCC - Monitor implementation process - Identify the gaps and challenges and support in developing the next steps - Establish regular follow up to enhance quality service delivery - Provide on spot technical support (if necessary) during follow up - Provide support to POs staff to prepare report on quantitative and qualitative data on HBCC - Assist PNGOs to promote participatory monitoring for hygiene promotion activities. Education: Master’s in social science or relevant field. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a development organization, preferably in an international organisation and in the Health, Hygiene, and Gender fields. Proven experience in developing HBCC materials for low-income communities, as well as designing training modules and conducting training in HBCC. Strong understanding of project implementation in partnership with national NGOs Knowledge and Skills: - Understanding of social and institutional issues related to water, sanitation, and hygiene education in developing countries, with empirical knowledge of HBCC. - Knowledge of program implementation related to hygiene (HBCC) and development issues. - Strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. - Excellent presentation, communication, and report writing skills in both Bengali and English. - Experience in PRA, gender, WASH, health, community mobilization, and empowerment. Competencies: Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong team-building skills, ability to work in a dynamic environment, and understanding of people’s perceptions. Demonstrates gender and cultural awareness.

Monthly gross salary is BDT 92,466/-(flexible for deserving candidate) with admissible benefits including provident fund, gratuity, festival bonus, life insurance for self, health insurance for self, spouse and children, cell phone allowances and other entitlements as per policy provision.
Travel on a regular basis to remote areas of Bangladesh (30-50% time should be dedicated to travels).
