Job Purpose

As a key member of the POD department, this position is responsible to cultivate a thriving and supportive work environment by spearheading initiatives focusing on employee engagement, wellbeing, relations, and people/HR related generalist responsibilities. This role plays a pivotal part in nurturing a culture where employees feel valued, motivated, and supported in achieving their professional and personal goals delivering results. By supporting in the design and implementations of the people related appropriate interventions to enhance employee engagement and well-being, s/he will contribute to the organisation's overall success and sustainability. Overall, the job purpose of this role is to drive organisational excellence by promoting a culture of engagement, wellness, and inclusivity through effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork that empowers employees to thrive and contribute to achieving the organisation's mission and objectives successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the adherence of HR policies, procedures and processes including safeguarding across the organisation. • Keep abreast and implement progressive practices in POD management and contribute to the implementation of the relevant policies, procedures • Promote innovation, new interventions through sharing of best practices and knowledge learned. • Support/ in rolling out HR related policy, guidelines, messages etc. year- round including safeguarding issues, as assigned. • Facilitate enabling organisational culture and provide support for handling stress and managing staff wellbeing. Contribute actively to achieving goals related to culture, diversity, equity & inclusion. • Organise and execute engagement initiatives, including team-building activities, FGD, recognition programmes, social events etc. • Introduce measures that promotes and uphold a speaking up culture ensuring sensitivity and confidentiality. Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. • Articulate staff feedback, opinions etc.; consult with Head of P&OD to take collective effort for necessary improvement and present for appropriate management decisions including follow up the impactful outcomes. • Recommend efficient and cost-effective learning products which strengthen staff capacity to contribute effectively to organisational goals. • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide resources and support for stress management, health promotion, wellbeing and welfare surveying the market. • Evaluate the effectiveness of wellness initiatives and make adjustments as necessary. • Support in recruitment, assessment and selection approaches considering specific requirements of the job profile and functional competencies - managing the interview and on-boarding related logistics. • Collaborate to arrange working tools and equipment for new staff, e.g.: workspace, computer, email ID, manuals, policies etc. ensuring appropriate/warm welcoming. • Facilitate induction process for new recruits and arrange tailored orientation programme for the employees across the organisation. • Support in managing staff transition including promotions, transfer, acting assignments, confirmation, secondment and separation etc. • Prepare/draft HR related notes, letters, communiques etc. and obtain due approval and sign offs. • Preserve personnel records ensuring confidentiality. • Any other relevant tasks, as assigned by the line manager

Requisite qualifications, experience, and attributes

Education: An Advanced University Degree in Human resource Management/Management /Public Administration or relevant subject. Advance studies in Organisational Development or relevant subject will be preferred. Experience: Minimum 03 years demonstrated experience in Human Resource (HR)/People functions. Experience in a culturally diverse international organisations will get preference. Skills and Competencies: • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, regulations, and Bangladesh Labor Law. • Proven experience in employee engagement, wellness initiatives, and staff development. • Proficient in facilitating activities and presentations with excellent communication skills. • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HR software/programs. • Quick learner with attention to detail, proactive, and self-motivated. • Ability to work independently, manage confidential information, and prioritise tasks. • Aptitude for understanding people and garnering support, with personal integrity and respect for diversity. • Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and uphold organisational culture and values.

Salary & Benefits

Monthly gross salary BDT 63,964/-. In addition, festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity, life insurance for self, health insurance for self, spouse and children, cell phone allowances etc. are applicable as per policy provision.

Travel

Willingness to travel to remote areas of Bangladesh is required.
