Job Purpose

This position has an entry-level role having previous working experience of at least a year in similar role and/or professional qualification. Through this role s/he is expected to perform specific tasks which will contribute to but not limited to specific activities/ projects managed by Programme team. S/he will support tasks and activities across the team and shall work under direct supervision of a senior team member. Also, responsible to replicate activities with high degree of consistency, communicate across the team, support activities under programme/ project cycle (capacity review, gap identification, assessment, analysis, design, planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation and reporting). Moreover, this position will be given opportunity to learn and contribute to the potential engagement in diversified programmes through designing, planning, and piloting/implementing ideas/projects. This position will be given an adventurous challenge to increase digital footprint along with undertaking various communication and advocacy activities, while learning-by-doing through training during the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support in maintaining organizational online monitoring systems (mWater, WAPS, etc.), capturing field learnings and knowledge • Support in developing project reports, capturing field learnings and knowledge management. • Support in achieving project objectives and strengthening monitoring processes for assigned projects. • Monitor progress, process, and quality of project interventions, identifying any gaps and support project team in taking corrective measures throughout the project cycle. • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to analyze the data and generate regular reports for management, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning • Assist in successful completion of project related activities assigned by line manager aligning to organisational priority • Assist in different research and assessments associated with the project • Provide required support to conduct action-research • Assist in organising events such as trainings, workshops, conferences, and dissemination events as required • Regular visits to project locations, monitor interventions, follow up recommendations, verify partners report and assist in providing necessary support to partner organizations based on their specific needs. • Ensure proper documentation and preservation of project documents. • Support in knowledge-sharing activities by capturing, documenting, and disseminating project learning, best practices, and success stories. • Take responsibility for documentation, reporting, and presentation of project-related information, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in appropriate manner. • Willingness to work for and on behalf of the organization as per requirement.

Requisite qualifications, experience, and attributes

• Undergraduate/Master degree in Social Science/Economics/Development Studies/Environmental Science from any recognised and reputed University of Bangladesh or abroad • At least one-year professional working experience in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), environmental science and/or relevant fields • Experience in managing different digital platforms for project planning and reporting • Understanding of the issues relating to water, sanitation and hygiene in national and global context is essential • Excellent computer skill on Microsoft office, analytical software, internet of things etc. • Strong analytical skills, and capacity to work independently and meet tight deadlines • Admirable leadership, interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Bangla and English

Salary & Benefits

Monthly gross salary BDT 43,583/-. In addition, festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity, life insurance for self, health insurance for self, spouse and children, cell phone allowances etc. are applicable as per policy provision.

Travel

Travel on a regular basis to remote areas of Bangladesh and overseas is required. 30% to 50% time should be dedicated to travels.
